SLTN RP 光缆的结构是将 250μm 光纤套入高模量材料制成的松套管中，松套管内填充防水化合物。缆芯的中心是一根非金属加强芯(FRP)，对于某些芯数的光缆来说，非金属加强芯外还需挤上一层聚乙烯(PE)。松套管(和填充绳)围绕中心加强芯纹合成紧凑和圆形的缆芯。然后使用阻水带包裹缆芯，以保持光缆紧凑和防水。绞合一层玻璃纱作为强度构件，然后挤制聚乙烯护套成缆。

The structure of SLTN RP fiber optic cable 250μm fiber is positioned in a loose tube made of high modulus material, and the loose tube is filed with waterproof compound.The center of the cable core is a metallic Fiber Reinforced plastic(FRP), for some cores fiber cable, a layer of polyethylene (PE) needs to be extruded outside the metallic central strength member. The tubes (and filers) are stranded around the strength member into a compact and circular core. And then the water-blocking tape is applied to keep the cable compact and watertight. A layer of glass yarn is applied as additional strength member and the cable is completed with a polyethylene(PE)outer sheath.
