GVFTY53 光缆的结构是将 250um 光纤套入高模量材料制成的松套管中，松套管内填充防水化合物。缆芯的中心是一根非金属加强芯(FRP)，对于某些芯数的光缆来说，非金属加强芯外还需挤上一层聚乙烯(PE)。松套管(和填充绳)围绕中心加强芯绞合成紧凑和圆形的缆芯，缆芯内的缝隙充以阻水填充物。缆芯外挤上一层聚乙烯内护套，双面涂塑钢带(PSP)纵包后挤制聚乙烯护套成缆。

The structure of GVFTY53 fiber optic cable is a 250μm fiber placed in a loose tube made of high modulus material, which is filed with a waterproof compound. The center of the cable core is a non-metallic Fiber Reinforced Plastic(FRP), for some cores fiber cable, a layer of polyethylene (PE) needs to be extruded outside the non-metallic central strength member.the loose tubes (and filers, are stranded around the central reinforcing core to make a compact and rounded core.and the gaps inside the core are filed with water-resistant material. The core is extruded with a laver of polyethylene inner sheath, and a double sided corrugated steel tape (PSP) is wrapped longitudinally and then extruded with a polyethylene sheath to form the cable.
